ANTHONY BURNS MISSION STATEMENT:
"We are committed to building a safe and nurturing society of life-long learners who develop intellectual curiosity. We will strive to build a strong relationship between home and school to instill a desire for our students to develop strong character and skills that will help them be successful in the future."

Is it November? Wow, how quickly time passes.  November is a time when we like to express our thanks.  I would like to start by saying Thank You to our wonderful students and staff.  I wasnt o express my gratitude for your commitment to ABES.  I truly believe that you all are "doing whatever it takes to make the days great."  I would like to thank our PTO for heading up all of the school events that they take on.  This group has worked extremely hard, long hours turing our school into the outstanding place you now see.  I am very thankful to be a part of such a wonderful school family.

As the school year moves along so does the winter weather. We have included winter weather information for you, and we urge all of our parents and students to plan ahead for inclement weather. Do your children know exactly where to go and what to do if we dismiss early, and parents or babysitters will not be home? Snow days and early dismissal days are definitely high-stress times in the front office. PLEASE PLAN AHEAD. It is very hard for us to tell a child everything will be all right when we don’t have the correct phone numbers to reach you. Please make sure that updated phone numbers are on file in the school office. Thank you.

November 16 – 20, 2009 is American Education Week. Why not have your child write a thank you to their teacher. I think we are very lucky at Anthony Burns to have such a wonderful, dedicated group of professionals working under one roof. I know you feel the same – let your child’s teacher know it too.

I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Make It A Great Day!!
